While comments on this blog are anonymous, there was a potential privacy issue due to so-called Gravatar Hovercards. If your email address is not linked to a profile on Gravatar.com, a random image is created. However, if it is, then WordPress shows a link to your Gravatar profile in said ‘Hovercards’. Of course, these may contain personal information if you added such personal information on Gravatar.com. In order to keep users from involuntarily sharing personal information, I have therefore disabled this functionality.
