How to Save a Failing Video Game

I just posted an article on Ubisoft sabotaging sales of the next Assassin’s Creed game by putting a black samurai front and center. Gamers are not happy about it, so surely this game will not do nearly as well as Ubisoft thinks. Yet, there are also example of games that start perhaps a bit slow but, surprisingly, do better the longer they are on the market. This is completely counter-intuitive, but it happened with Snowbreak. It game had a poor start but suddenly, the numbers are trending upwards. In fact, as of now, they have about ten times as many players than at release in December 2023:

Snowbreak is getting more and more active players, for no reason at all.

It takes a real genius to figure out what is going on there. It possibly cannot have anything to do with the game studio putting more and more hot waifus into this game, giving them revealing outfits, and simply waiting for word-of-mouth to spread. Snowbreak does not look like it was cheap to make, but surely it cost a lot less than the next Assassin’s Creed game. The guys behind this “3D Waifu sci-fi RPG-shooter” have figured it out, and they are doing well despite the mainstream press not being happy about a game full of hot sluts. Giving gamers what they want is a recipe for success. Trying to brainwash them with woke propaganda, however, has limited appeal.
