Tattoos are apparently going out of fashion these days. However, it stills seems that the majority of young women have visible tattoos. It has been well-established that women first began getting tattoos due to their association with the underworld. They wanted dangerous Chads to fuck them and since Thug Chad has tattoos, they also got tattoos. This is similar to women wanting a highly-paid job because they hope that this will lead them to getting a husband with an even better-paying job. Of course, Thug Chad, just like Corpo Chad, does not require his women to mirror him. Without this strange desire to model the men they want, tattoos would never have made it into the mainstream. Of course, once enough women had tattoos, women started getting tattoos simply because they wanted to be part of the majority. Many, if not most, women are perennial trend chasers, after all.

I recall that tattoos used to be seen as really trashy. The idea of getting a tattoo for fashion purposes would have been considered rather ridiculous well into the 1990s, probably the early 2000s even. Yet, at some point the popularity of tattoos exploded. Incidentally, this happened simultaneously with the spread of the Internet and online video. Suddenly, you had easy access to porn, and this applies to men and women alike, obviously. For women, seeing porn whores with tattoos probably only made them want to get tattoos even more. However, the effect on men was quite possibly much more severe. I do not even recall any guy in the early 2000s talking about wanting to fuck tattooed sluts whereas in the late 2000s and beyond, tattooed women were seen as both slutty and also desirable.

Of course, my hypothesis is speculative, but I wonder if the impact of watching porn on the male brain is to blame for this shift of perception of tattoos on women. Remember, we went from considering tattoos completely trashy to tolerating them to women actively wanting them in a few short years. However, if men keep watching porn in which they mostly see women with tattoos they will invariably associate tattoos with sex. Thus, a preference for tattooed women seems to be simply another fetish, considering that there is little that is inherently sexually arousing by a tattoo. In fact, they make women arguably look worse.

Speaking of fetishes, I find a foot fetish more explicable than a tattoo fetish. At the very least, the object of sexual arousal are healthy feet, and health is a fertility indicator. Thus, slim, sexy feet can only be found on slim women of a reasonable degree of health. In contrast, tattoos are quite commonly found on women who are not mentally healthy. Thus, it is probably not too far-fetched to assume that a foot fetish constitutes an evolutionary advantage, or at least not much of a disadvantage, whereas a tattoo fetish is more of an evolutionary deep end.

Going down this rabbit hole even further, sometimes you see very attractive women with tattoos. One explanation is that there were feminist teachers and other subversive actors who brainwashed them into doing that. However, in a society in which the majority of women are tattooed, an attractive tattooed woman may undermine the status of other women in the sexual marketplace. After all, she signals that even with tattoos she is more attractive than other women who do not have any tattoos. This thought is pure speculation. However, it seems at least as plausible as the typical argument in evolutionary biology I have come across. Quite relevant is the proposed argument that rich liberals support illegal mass immigration because this allows them to signal that they are still better off than most in society. Thus, attractive women showing off tattoos is quite comparable to rich Hollywood elites supporting California’s descent. There may be human feces and heroin needles everywhere in the center of every larger city but he can still easily shield himself from all of that in mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
